New York City is buzzing right now, as their hip hop scene is showing so much promise in the early days of 2012. French Montana has built an incredible buzz, as his “Shot Caller” single, and the remix, are dominating the radio. Meanwhile, veteran rapper, Ja Rule has returned with his first album in eight years, and Maino has released his sophomore effort The Day After Tomorrow. Maino’s release took three years, itself.
Maino made his radio rounds, following the release of his new album. His interview with “The Breakfast Club” at Power 105.1 leaked to the internet earlier. Before ending his media rounds, Maino also stopped by Hot 97 to speak with Angie Martinez. Much like “The Breakfast Club,” Angie Martinez had questions about the women in Maino’s life. The Brooklyn rapper has had a less-than-low profile relationship with current “Love & Hip Hop” star, Olivia.
Aside from his love life, there is geniune interest in Maino, as he is regarded as one of the top artists on the New York scene, as it currently stands.
