Two of the biggest names of 2012, so far, have been Rick Ross and French Montana. Along with Drake, French Montana hopped on Ross’ mixtape single, “Stay Schemin.'” The infectious beat, paired with Drake and Common sparring on the track, propelled the single to become one of 2012’s biggest hit singles. Before “Stay Schemin,'” Rick Ross had hopes of making French Montana the latest member of his Maybach Music roster.

While French Montana ultimately decided to sign with Diddy’s Bad Boy Records, Rick Ross will still be an integral part of French Montana’s debut album. French Montana flew down to Ross’ native Miami to record his album, earlier this week. Rick Ross, along with helping the Bronx emcee with his album, is also completing his own. Originally planned for a late 2011 release, Rick Ross was forced to delay God Forgives, I Don’t.

Rick Ross’ consolation for fans waiting on the album was his Rich Forever mixtape. With the mixtape setting records, Rick Ross is now focused, once again, on his next album and the one after it. French Montana recently announced, via Twitter, he and Rick Ross are currently in Miami, in the studio, putting the finishing touches on their albums, which are set for mid-2012 release dates.
