Before the unexpected death of Whitney Houston, the urban community had expressed concern over the health issues Nick Cannon was going through. The Nickelodeon host, turned Viacom executive, suffered from kidney failure last month. Mariah Carey revealed the news through Twitter, trying to stay positive for the sake of her family. Along with being one of the most-influential men in the media, Nick Cannon is also the father of two children, twins.

Nick Cannon faded into the background when news of Whitney Houston’s death made headlines and the several stories involved also took over the headlines. Many assumed Nick Cannon’s health had improved, as he continued with his “Rollin’ Morning Show.” Along with being a radio host, Nick Cannon wears several other hats, producing television shows, serving as CEO of TEENick, and being an actor. Not only does Cannon hold all of these jobs, he exceeds at them all too.

This morning, during the broadcast of “Rollin’ Morning Show,” Nick Cannon revealed he was stepping down from his radio show post. Nick Cannon admitted he was not getting enough sleep and the doctors said if he did not begin resting, he would not be around to watch his young family grow. Barely thirty-years-old himself, Nick Cannon has much to live for and has decided to end his run with “Rollin’ Morning Show” in order to focus on his other projects and to get adequate rest. Having blood clots in his lungs, Nick Cannon said the doctor ordered him to cut out one of his projects.
