Throughout his career, E-40 has had more of a cult following. In many ways, he followed in the footsteps of Bay Area legend, Too $hort. Both rappers have been in the game for decades, yet have not received much mainstream recognition. In 2005, E-40 signed with Lil Jon’s BME label and he enjoyed a series of hits during the summer of 2006.

Since 2006, E-40 has slowly faded from the spotlight. While E-40 is no longer in front of the camera, he has remained in the game. The Bay Area rapper has continued releasing albums and singles, which have been hits in his local area. E-40 currently has plans of making hip hop history, when he releases three albums on the same day.

The release date for the three installments, The Block Brochure: Welcome to the Soil is March 27, but a little over two weeks prior, E-40 will be in Los Angeles. E-40 will be in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium on March 10, 2012. He will be attending The Showdown 3 in Los Angeles, the third annual dance-off.
