It has become a yearly event for Birdman to conduct an interview, discussing what records will be broken over the next twelve months by Cash Money Records. Birdman has revamped the once-struggling Cash Money Records, making them one of the most-successful hip hop record labels ever. This was solidifed in 2009, when subsidiary label, Young Money, signed Drake and female mixtape sensation, Nicki Minaj, and when the mainstream Cash Money label signed Bow Wow.

Before signing with Cash Money Records, Bow Wow was preparing to retire from the rap game in order to focus more on his acting career. Upon signing with Cash Money Records, Bow Wow immediately began recording new music. However, most of the music Bow Wow recorded was put on mixtapes. Bow Wow has become one of the biggest players in the mixtape game, releasing a series over the past three years.

In 2010, Bow Wow announced he was returning with a new album before the end of the year, but the album was met with several delays. Last year, Bow Wow announced his album would be named Underrated, and it would be released in the final months of 2011. Much like label-mate, Tyga, Bow Wow was delayed from a December release date until pushed back indefinitely. Recently, Bow Wow announced, via Twitter, Underrated will be released during the spring of 2012 and Bow Wow also announced he will have a tour to go along with the album.

On March 17, 2012, Bow Wow will launch the “Underrated World Tour” at The Sound Academy. Those interested in watching Bow Wow live can pre-order the tickets here.
