Former Warner Bros. rapper and Maybach Music representative, Pill, has been rebuilding his buzz, since he decided to return to the independent scene. His mixtape, The Epidemic, was released earlier this month and has been a critical success. With no singles and Twitter as the primary source of promotion, the mixtape has done well.

During his interview, explaining his departure from Warner Bros. Records, Pill explained how he built a strong buzz, but did not have the support of his label. However, it was this strong buzz, which landed Pill a meeting with the head of the label. Pill took an untraditional route in being signed, with the label executive, not an A&R, signing him.

In the end, Pill said it was not his time, something also expressed by Rick Ross. Back on the independent scene, Pill is preparing to film the official video for “It’s All on Me.” The song was released during the opening days of January. On Twitter, Pill revealed the official music video for “It’s All on Me” will be filmed by Motion Family.
