Throughout his career, DJ Khaled has been gifted in uniting several of the most-popular rappers in the game for hit singles. In 2007, DJ Khaled released his breakthrough album, We The Best, which laid the groundwork for his current success. Following the release of the album, Def Jam signed DJ Khaled, made him the president of Def Jam South, and granted him his own record label.

We The Best Music Group was launched during the fall of 2007 and Miami mixtape rapper, Ace Hood, was the first rapper signed to the label. Last year, DJ Khaled finally enjoyed mainstream success, through his hit single, “I’m On One,” which featured Rick Ross, Drake, and Lil Wayne. His album, We The Best Forever also did well, along with Ace Hood finally receiving mainstream success.

DJ Khaled is planning to continue his 2011 domination well into 2012. His upcoming album, Kiss the Ring, is currently set for a summer 2012 release. DJ Khaled said the new album will be filled with hits created in the vein of “I’m On One” and “All I Do Is Win.” Along with working on his own album, DJ Khaled confirmed a new album from Ace Hood will also be delivered in 2012.
