When he was preparing his Teflon Don album, in 2010, Rick Ross found himself a new enemy in the form of former drug baron, “Freeway” Ricky Ross. The former kingpin was targeting Rick Ross, threatening to sue him over both his rap alias and his raps of being a drug lord. When “Freeway” Ricky Ross filed his case, he demanded to receive 50% of all profits Rick Ross generated from Teflon Don.

Earlier in his career, Rick Ross was taunted by many and dismissed by some fans because of his past as a correctional officer. “Freeway” Ricky Ross mentioned this in several interviews, immediately finding support in the form of 50 Cent, Rick Ross’ biggest rival at the time. For nearly two years, “Freeway” Ricky Ross has been dissing Rick Ross and working on his own projects.

The two Rick Rosses came face-to-face in court and “Freeway” Ricky Ross said rapper Rick Ross gave him dirty looks, as if he did something wrong to him in court. Previously, both men had filed depositions in court in Miami over their name. “Freeway” Ricky Ross said Rick Ross intially looked worried as if he were going to send some men after him, but once that fear was gone, he was giving him the eye.
