Without being in the news, Rick Ross has been in the news. Usually, when a rapper releases a mixtape, it does not receive much press. However, everything Rick Ross is involved in usually ends up becoming a major news story. Back in December, when he announced his Rich Forever mixtape, this was indeed the case.

Early in January, photos from the video shoot for “Stay Schemin’,” the first single off Rich Forever, leaked to the internet. At the time, no one knew how much media attention “Stay Schemin'” would receive. However, when the music video was released and Drake’s verse was revealed to have a Common diss, the song remained in headlines for nearly a month.

For the single, Rick Ross did not have to lift a finger for promotion, as Drake and Common handled it for him. Now, moving past the controversy, Rick Ross is ready to deliver the official video for the second single from Rich Forever. The second single off the mixtape is called “Yella Diamonds” and he will release the video this upcoming Wednesday.

Rick Ross decided to team with XXL for the release of his second video from Rich Forever. The video was put together by Dre Films, but Ross is pleased with the overall success of the mixtape, which has had 10 million downloads. Following Rich Forever, Rick Ross is pushing the “Bag of Money” single from the upcoming Self Made, Vol. 2 album, along with solo debuts from Meek Mill, DJ Scream, and Stalley, along with releasing a third album from Wale and his own fifth solo album, God Forgives, I Don’t.
