Still riding the success of Tha Carter IV, Lil Wayne is already back in the studio. Five months ago, Wayne released his long-awaited album. Before the end of 2011, Birdman revealed Lil Wayne was already focusing on his next album. Originally, Tha Carter IV was set for a 2009 release, before being pushed back until 2010, and then 2011. Lil Wayne managed to hold fans over with two releases, Rebirth and I Am Not a Human Being.
The second 2010 album from Lil Wayne gained popularity, as the album was filled with tracks originally intended for Tha Carter IV. Following the release of Tha Carter IV, Birdman discussed the releases planned for Cash Money Records in 2012. Announcing albums from the newcomers and Nicki Minaj, Birdman revealed Lil Wayne would return with another new album. Birdman said Lil Wayne is always in the studio and he is working on a new album.
Earlier today,Â Birdman opened up about this new album fromÂ Lil WayneÂ with Complex.Â Birdman announced the next album from Lil Wayne would be I Am Not a Human Being 2. While the release date for the album is not set, Birdman said Lil Wayne would have it out before the end of the summer. Previously, there were rumors of Lil Wayne releasing a sequel to his first 2010 album, Rebirth. Birdman said he does not know if Lil Wayne still has plans of releasing that album. Once I Am Not a Human Being 2 is released, Birdman says Like Father, Like Son 2 will be released, along with his next solo album.
