The past few months have been tough for Webbie. As he is working on new music, he was dealt a major blow when he was banned from “106 & Park” and later the entire BET network. Despite the tough situation, Webbie has played it off. The latest rumor involving Webbie is much bigger than him being banned from BET.
Over the weekend, TMZ reported the police rushed to Webbie’s show in Dothan on January 22. The police were answering a call made from a partygoer who reported gun shots being fired. As the police arrived on the scene, they discovered a man with a gunshot wound in his chest. Upon being taken to the hospital, the man died.
Since Webbie was among the people at the nightclub, he was taken in for questioning from the police about the murder. With Webbie being held in the custody of law enforcement, rumors began about him being investigated for the murder. However, Webbie’s manager revealed he was only questioned by the police because he was present at the venue, where the shooting occurred, but he did not provide much info for the investigation, as he did not know anything about it.
