During the early 1990s, Cypress Hill rose to fame, as the West Coast hip hop scene had emerged into the mainstream. In recent years, Cypress Hill has been out of the spotlight with the exception of their music being featured on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and then B-Real being featured on Snoop Dogg’s “Vato.” Cypress Hill, along with many other hip hop groups, are preparing for a comeback in 2012.

Earlier today, a representative from Cypress Hill announced to HipHopDX.com that the legendary group would be joining forces with Rusko. For over six months, Rusko has been working with B-Real and Sen Dog. Now, the entire Cypress Hill has decided to have a new release produced by the Dubstep producer. The name of their project is Cypress x Rusko and is an EP.

Rusko’s last album was released in 2010, titled O.M.G. The year of 2010 also saw the release from Cypress Hill, Rise Up, on Priority Records. Currently, there is no set release date for the EP.
