Several artists signed to Cash Money Records suffered from album delays. Originally, 2011 was supposed to bring new albums from Lil Wayne, Drake, Bow Wow, and Tyga. Each of the albums ended up being pushed back, while only Lil Wayne and Drake released albums in 2011. Bow Wow and Tyga, on the other hand, were delayed until 2012. Currently, Tyga has more buzz than Bow Wow, due to his “Rack City” single.
Initially, Tyga planned to release his sophomore album, Careless World: Rise of the Last King in December, but the album was delayed. Earlier this week, it appeared the album was pushed back indefinitely. Now, things are looking up for Tyga, as he has news about his album. Tyga acknowledged how his album was supposed to be released earlier, but said the delays were not up to him.
Regardless, Tyga has announced a new release date for his long-awaited album. The new album from the popular Young Money emcee will finally be released on February 7, a week before label-mate, Nicki Minaj, releases her sophomore effort, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
