In the middle of the controversy, Drake does have good news. After nine weeks on the charts, his Take Care album remains on top. Since the release of his debut album, Drake has learned several hard lessons. He has been involved in beef and he has faced the backlash. The lesson learned is controversy sells, obviously because his album is still on top.

Drake has 31,000 additional sales on Take Care, leading his album to 1,320,600 overall sales since its release. Overall, Take Care is number four, among all albums sold. Still, Take Care is above Young Jeezy’s TM103. Since its release, TM103 has sold 360,000 copies and 23,000 over the past week.

Other albums continuing to do solid numbers are Watch the Throne, which recently sold 12,000 more copies, bringing the total up to 1,200,000 copies sold. Tha Carter IV is closing in on the double platinum mark, currently sitting at 1,900,000 overall copies sold since its release.
