Fourteen years have passed since Public Enemy last released a new album. During the years since Public Enemy last released an album, Chuck D has announced he has a comeback album in the works. Meanwhile, Flavor Flav rose to become one of the biggest stars on cable television.

Starting in 2006, Flavor Flav starred in the VH1 dating series, “Flavor of Love.” The show introduced the world to a number of new celebrities. Flavor Flav also helped to turn VH1 into one of the highest-rated cable television networks. From 2006 until 2008, Flavor Flav was a household name and he released his debut album.

After 2008, Flavor Flav fell out of the public eye and Public Enemy was also out of the spotlight. However, Chuck D announced the group would be making a comeback in 2012, following fourteen years since their last album release. The first album is coming in June and will be called Most of My Heroes Still Don’t Appear on No Stamp and the second album follows in September called The Evil Empire of Everything.
