There has been a renewed focus and dedication from T.I. ever since he returned from his second prison stint in two years. T.I. knows better than anyone else, he had to deliver this time. Upon being released from his 2009 prison stint, T.I. began working on new music, but the fan reception was not very positive. As he continued to work, T.I. was arrested for a probation violation in Los Angeles, disappointing his fans.

When he was finally released from prison, T.I. vowed to live up to the promises he made, particuarly the promises made on his 2010 single, “Get Back Up.” Officially a free man, T.I. recorded several tracks and even contributed verses to several current singles. A few of his verses were included on the tracks and made into official remixes. Despite the buzz in 2011, T.I. decided to wait until 2012 to deliver his official comeback album.

Titled Trouble Man, T.I. finds himself trying to bridge the gap of his 2003 breakthrough album, Trap Muzik and his most-successful album, Paper Trail. T.I. says it is a nice problem to have, as he tells the people at MTV his album is 75 percent completed. Speaking on the album, T.I. said it includes a number of classic T.I. tracks. Previously, T.I. has described his album as street, gutter, and intellectually igorant. While the album will feature the gutter T.I. tracks fans have come to love, it will also have variety, as tracks with Akon and Rico Love will be featured, also.

Having collaborated with Dr. Dre on Fuck Da City Up, T.I. said he is trying to connect with Dr. Dre again for the Trouble Man album.
