Last year, Rick Ross began 2011 with two major business moves and the announcement of a new album. But, due to health complications, Rick Ross did not release his album. Still, Rick Ross had a dominant year, winning “Man of the Year” with The Source. However, fans of Rick Ross are still waiting on new music from the Miami superstar. For those who have been waiting on new music from Rick Ross, he is preparing his newest mixtape, Rich Forever.

In preparation of the mixtape, Rick Ross has released three alternate covers and songs. Rick Ross has also filmed a music video for the title track of the mixtape. A photo of the video shoot leaked and it featured several of hip hop’s elite. Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, French Montana, and Drake were all in the picture and will be in the video. The photo energized fans, but they still found themselves waiting on a release date for the project.

A week since the photo was leaked to the internet, Rick Ross has given a solid release date for the upcoming mixtape. On January 6, Rick Ross will leak Rich Forever at 3:05 pm. LiveMixtapes has already begun the countdown on their website. Rick Ross originally intended to close 2011 with the release of God Forgives, I Don’t, but the album was not released due to the seizures Ross suffered on October 14, 2011.
