The Source recently landed an exclusive with former Swisha House Records’ partner, OG Ron C. When many think of chopped and screwed, they think of the Houston hip hop scene. What many do not realize is that OG Ron C was the man behind this sound. Although the chopped and screwed sound has declined from the public eye, OG Ron C has continued to keep it relevant.

OG Ron C has made a name for himself by chopping and screwing popular songs and albums and releasing them. Drake’s Take Care was the most-recent project chopped and screwed by OG Ron C. Continuing to chop and screw his records, OG Ron C has also decided to go back into business with Michael “5000” Watts. Previously, the two were partners in legendary Houston hip hop record label, Swisha House Records.

Reuniting with Michael “5000” Watts, OG Ron C is launching Chopped Not Slopped Entertainment. The label comes on the heels of OG Ron C reviving the chopped and screwed movement. Aside from chopping and screwing Drake’s latest record, he also chopped Jay-Z and Kanye West’s Watch the Throne, renaming the album Chopped the Throne. The previous label from OG Ron C and Michael “5000” Watts boasted Mike Jones, Chamillionaire, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall, among other Houston legends.
