Much discussion surrounded the release of Drake’s second album. Only months after releasing his debut album, fans were already waiting on Drake’s sophomore effort. Late in 2010, Drake announced he was working on his second album. During the same period of time, Drake said he may name his album Moments.

Birdman soon announced the 2011 releases from Cash Money Records and said Drake would indeed release a new album in the fall. Drake promised his Take Care album on his twenty-fifth birthday, October 24. During the summer, Drake released the first official single, “Headlines,” which propelled the album.

On November 15, Drake finally released Take Care, which debuted on top of the Billboard charts. A little over a month since Drake released his second album, Drake now has reason to celebrate. Following in the footsteps of Young Money label-mate, Lil Wayne, Drake is now celebrating his Take Care album going platinum.
