Upon taking matters into his own hands, Saigon released his long-awaited debut album, The Greatest Story Never Told, in February of this year. The album, which was helmed by Just Blaze, was hailed as a classic by many critics. However, critics and fans, alike, were disappointed with the frequent delays of the album. Each time Atlantic Records delayed his album, Saigon returned to the mixtape scene.
His Warning Shots series is revered as a classic collection of music. Since releasing his debut album, Saigon has decided to return to the mixtape scene. Currently, Saigon is working on his latest mixtape. Reuniting with Just Blaze, Saigon is putting together his latest mixtape, a third installment of his Warning Shots mixtape series. The latest mixtape is subtitled One Foot in the Grave.
With the street album being released on January 24, Saigon is preparing a release concert on February 3 at Webster Hall. Tickets are currently on sale and Saigon said this project is very different from his previous effort, The Greatest Story Never Told.
