Lil’ Kim working with Timbaland and Wyclef Jean on New Music

After being out of the spotlight for five years, Lil’ Kim returned during the summer of 2010 with beef with Nicki Minaj. Throughout 2010 and into 2011, Lil’ Kim released a number of records dissing the Young Money rapstress. Early in 2011, Lil’ Kim finally released a full collection of new songs in the form of her Black Friday mixtape. She claimed the mixtape made her $1 million through PayPal, something Nicki Minaj said was false.

During the summer of 2011, Lil’ Kim again returned to the headlines announcing she was close to signing with G-Unit Records. In 2003, Lil’ Kim featured 50 Cent on her hit single, “Magic Stick.” Following the release of the single, Lil’ Kim began feuding with 50 Cent and the feud lasted four years. After making peace with 50 Cent, in 2007, Lil’ Kim became one of his biggest supporters. When Shawty Lo signed to G-Unit, Lil’ Kim supported him and said she may be next.

While admitting he was rooting for Lil’ Kim, 50 Cent denied he was negotiating to sign her to his label. Lil’ Kim remained out of the spotlight until she leaked her song, “Spend a Mil’,” which is a track from her upcoming EP. Closing out the year, Lil’ Kim will release a new EP. Once the New Year rings in, Lil’ Kim will announce the label she will sign to and will begin working on her first studio album in over six years. Already working on these projects, Lil’ Kim announced she is working with Timbaland, Wyclef Jean, Rockwilder, and a number of underground producers on her new music.
