Rick Ross pushes “God Forgives, I Don’t” back until 2012

Fans have gotten used to Rick Ross releasing a new album every year. In 2008, Ross won fans over with his Trilla album. Rick Ross gained international fame in 2009 when he began feuding with 50 Cent. The past two years have been phenomenal for the Miami rapper, as he has become one of the most-popular rappers in the game.

Early this year, Rick Ross announced he was back in the studio, working on a new album. At the time, Ross was fresh off the release of his Teflon Don album. Rick Ross said the new album was named, God Forgives, I Don’t. The first single released from the album was “Made Men” with Drake.

While Rick Ross had a strong year, in 2010, he has had more success this year, despite not releasing an album. Throughout the summer of 2011, Rick Ross has said his album was coming soon. In October, it was announced God Forgives, I Don’t would be released on December 13 of this year. However, following his seizures, Rick Ross decided to take some time off.

Yesterday, Rick Ross revealed God Forgives, I Don’t might be pushed back. Today, Def Jam has confirmed the album has been pushed back to a 2012 release date. In the meantime, Rick Ross has teamed up with Drake for a new mixtape, You Only Live Once. While the mixtape has no release date, Rick Ross is hoping to release the album for retail.
