Kobe Bryant speaks on Playing with Kwame Brown [VIDEO]

Kobe Bryant is arguably the best player in the NBA, right now. However, the Lakers stumbled in the playoffs. Despite posting the same record, last season, as their 2010 record, they lost in the second round of the playoffs. Not only did the Lakers lose, but also, they got swept. At the very least, the Lakers were swept by the eventual champion, Dallas Mavericks. This season, the Lakers are expected to contend for the championship again. Recently, Kobe shared a story about Kwame Brown.

Kobe Bryant modeled his entire game after Michael Jordan. While Jordan is arguably the best NBA player of all-time, some say he’s the worst executive. During his time running the Washington Wizards, he drafted Kwame Brown with the top overall pick. Brown often catches a lot of heat for not living up to his potential as the top overall pick. As a result, he’s become a journeyman. Briefly, he played with Kobe and the Lakers.

Kobe Bryant recently shared a story of his time playing with Kwame Brown. The first three seasons after the Lakers traded Shaq were brutal for Kobe. During this time, he had teammates like Brown, along with guys like Smush Parker. Recently, Bryant shared a story of how Kwame Brown was nervous to score against the Detroit Pistons. Phil refused to take Brown out of the game. After that, Kobe said Brown was traded to Memphis, alongside a few others, for Pau Gasol, and he resumed winning.
