At the time a management company, Ruff Ryders helped DMX land with Def Jam. Soon, X was transferred to the Ruff Ryders’ record label, but the label teamed with Interscope Records.br /br /Following DMX, the label also produced a number of other stars, including Eve. Soon, DMX and Eve became the primary two artists on the label. By 2002, Eve had stopped recording music to focus on her sitcom. DMX decided to retire in 2003.br /br /In the time since then, there have been several announcements of a Ruff Ryders comeback. Recently, the crew announced a compilation album on October 18. In the meantime, Ruff Ryders is back in the news because the company owes New York City $1 million.
