Soopafly discusses "Detox," Dr. Dre, and Tha Dogg Pound

He has produced many hits, but he has managed to stay well behind the scenes. While many fans may not know him, the big names /br /When he first began working on emDetox/em, Dr. Dre reached out to Soopafly. Recently, Soopafly announced he would be working on emDetox/em again. In an interview with, he revealed Dr. Dre called him to come /br /Even though Soopafly has been talking with Dr. Dre, he said his work has yet to even appear. Due to Dr. Dre’s perfectionist manner, he is not sure if his work will appear. Soopafly also revealed he helped produce “Ring Ding Dong” among other /br /During his time with Dr. Dre, Soopafly began working with Daz Dillinger. Soon, Soopafly was no longer working with Dre, at all. The legend revealed Dr. Dre had actually fired him and he met Kurupt and he later met Daz Dillinger. With them, he had more to do, as Dr. Dre took over most of the production, himself, so there was nothing for Soopafly to do with Dr. /br /It was after recording Tha Dogg Pound’s “What Would You Do?,” when they realized how strong their chemistry was. From there, Soopafly produced more tracks for Tha Dogg Pound. On his own solo album, called emBest Kept Secret/em, Soopafly has kept some of the best tracks for himself.
