Cam’ron signed to Roc-A-Fella Records, in 2001, bringing his entire Diplomat Records roster with him. While Cam’ron did not know Jay-Z well, Cam maintained a strong friendship with his partner, Damon Dash.br /br /Things at Roc-A-Fella Records began to get a little shaky. Jay-Z was hardly at the offices. Damon Dash wanted to make Cam’ron the head of the Roc. Rumors have stated Jay-Z blocked this move, but Cam said he turned the job down because they were not willing to pay him what he wanted.br /br /Cam’ron also discussed why he decided to diss Jay-Z, which was after his “I Declare War” concert.
