Over the past few decades, hip hop has proven to be a viable genre, becoming one of the biggest. Initially, the major record labels were the primary people profiting off hip hop. These industry veterans were soon replaced by the Russell Simmons-type businessmen of the hip hop genre and then the rappers, themselves, took control of the business.br /br /There are many rappers in the game who have gone from having buzz to becoming dominant to now being the heads of corporate giants. Among the names are Jay-Z and 50 Cent, but there are many more and Hip Hop Vibe will take a deep look at these rappers who have built their brands into companies.
