After his album with Damian Marley, Nas is preparing to return to his solo career. The Queens rapper last released an album in 2008 amid controversy. Nas had wanted to name his album Nigger, but his label refused to release the album under that title. Instead, Nas ended up leaving his album without a title.
The album was met with mildly positive reviews. In 2009, Raekwon finally released his Only Built 4 Cuban Linx sequel. Raekwon had wanted to feature Nas on the album. The two had open discussions and Nas agreed to appear on the album. However, Nas did not record on the album.
Raekwon sounded very disappointed when he informed the public about what had happened. Nas made it clear he did not intentionally diss Raekwon and maintained peace. Making it up to him, Nas has left an open invitation for Raekwon to appear on his next album. Nas said he is only two songs deep in this new album, but he definitely wants Raekwon on the album.
