Mobb Deep prepares first Post-G-Unit release

Despite all of the moves 50 Cent had made, not many people took him serious as a businessman. It took him adding an established artist to establish himself.br /br /Signing Mobb Deep was a major power play on 50 Cent’s part, but it eventually backfired. G-Unit Records was too big to support itself. After branching out, the label had too many feuds going on.br /br /Even though G-Unit was home to Mobb Deep, they were falling from grace. Their 2006 album, emBlood Money/em, was a flop and it led to them being dropped. The deal had nothing to do with 50 Cent, as Interscope forced the move.br /br /With no hard feelings, 50 Cent and Mobb Deep have maintained a close relationship. But, Mobb Deep has decided they will hit the independent circuit before searching for a label. Havoc said sometimes it is important to do things without major help.
