Fresh out of prison, Da Brat is taking the time to check things out, as things have changed since she was last free. The female rap game is pretty much nonexistent outside of Nicki Minaj and Lil’ Kim. One of the biggest female names after Lil’ Kim and before Nicki Minaj was Remy Ma and she is currently in prison.
Juelz Santana and Lady Luck have given Remy Ma props for staying strong behind bars as long as she has. Most people would have gone crazy after being in prison as long as she has. Having just come out of prison, Da Brat has nothing but respect for her. Brat said Remy obviously has boss bitch in her blood.
Da Brat also spoke about Lil’ Kim’s feud with Nicki Minaj and she is not impressed. Unlike most artists, Da Brat is not a fan of rap beef because she thinks it hurts more than it helps. While Lil’ Kim may revive her career, it may be at Nicki Minaj’s expense. Ending Nicki Minaj’s career is not good for hip hop, as there are only a handful of active females in the game, period.
Personally, Da Brat feels their beef makes no sense, but she says if they insist on feuding, let them have at it.
