His debut album, emFood amp; Liquor/em, was executive produced by Jay-Z. Representing Chicago, Lupe Fiasco got off to a very fast start. Atlantic Records had a unique love for a new rapper telling a new story.br /br /The year of 2006 was very good for Lupe Fiasco and he went right back into the studio. In 2007, he came out with his second album and exceeded expectations. His single, “Superstar,” was used in promotions for the NBA. Lupe Fiasco shocked the world when he said he was soon going to retire from the game.br /br /Lupe Fiasco planned to release his third album in 2008 and it was to be titled, emLupEND/em. The album was going to contain three discs that would be released at seperate times. Despite the major plans, this never happened, as his album was pushed back several times. Atlantic Records forced him to rethink his retirement and come out with more music.br /br /In 2009, Lupe Fiasco revealed the title of his album would be emLasers/em and that it would not end up being his final album. While Lupe Fiasco was ready, Atlantic Records continued to delay the album. Late last year, Lupe Fiasco released more singles and more videos from the album, but he was never given a solid release date.br /br /Now, however, Atlantic Records is promoting his single, “The Show Goes On,” and the video. The album is currently slated for a March 8, 2011 release.div class=”blogger-post-footer”div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”
