After Jay-Z released his album, many veterans released sequel albums. Ja Rule had planned to also release a sequel album to his 1999 debut. But, after the trend started by Jay-Z, he decided not to.br /br /Instead, Ja Rule began recording yet another album with a different theme. He began promoting a new release called, emThe Renaissance Project/em. The album was to be released sometime in 2010, but it did not come. Now, with his upcoming prison sentence, fans will have to wait longer.br /br /Over the past few years, Ja Rule has appeared more as a hip hop commentator instead of a player. With more sequel albums coming, Ja Rule recently spoke his piece. Despite his plans of releasing a sequel album, he no longer thinks it is a good idea. Because everyone is doing it, Ja Rule thinks the rest of the rappers need to do something different than the next man.br /br /Hip hop is about originality and the sequel album within itself is a copycat move so Ja Rule is right on many levels with this statement.div class=”blogger-post-footer”div class=”separator” style=”clear: both; text-align: center;”
